About the Project
Cardinal Golf Club, the largest golf facility in Canada, unveiled its newest course, Redcrest, in the Spring of 2009. Designed by Kevin Holmes, this layout is his most challenging design to date with over 80 bunkers and an abundance of water hazards, due to the site being located in low-lying areas adjacent to the Holland Canal. Our design team worked closely with the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority and Friends of the Oak Ridges Moraine in order to secure approvals. The design includes two sections of raised boardwalks over environmentally sensitive wetlands.
